Mike Polyakov is a PhD candidate in the political science department of UC Berkeley, where he is writing a dissertation on the processes of social and political change. He has also taught introduction to California politics at Berkeley and his current interests include structural reform, higher education and healthcare. Mike has bachelor's and master's degrees in computer science from Cornell University. Prior to entering the PhD program he worked on deep space and military communication networks at the Advanced Technology Center at Lockheed Martin.
