Erik Newton

Erik Newton is partner at the law firm Heath-Newton, LLP. Erik serves on various advisory boards, including the board of the Journal of Law Economics, and Policy, an academic journal he founded during law school. Erik regularly lectures to diverse groups on the topics of marriage planning and asset protection.

Erik recently served on Attorney General Kamala Harris’ transition team in the Education and Truancy group, helping to craft education policy. Erik frequently volunteers his time both as a mentor and as an advisory board member with the Spark Program, a youth mentorship program based in the Bay Area.

Erik holds a B.S. in finance from George Mason University and a J.D. from George Mason University School of Law. Prior to practicing law, Mr. Newton ran several successful businesses as an events producer.
